Points tables

Standings for the WPL and ICC tournaments while they are being played.

Current standings

The points table appears here while the competition is running.

How points and net run rate work

Teams usually earn two points for a win and one for a no result or tie. When teams finish level on points, net run rate (NRR) separates them: runs scored per over minus runs conceded per over across the competition.

Questions and answers

What is net run rate?

Net run rate is a team’s average runs scored per over minus its average runs conceded per over across a tournament. It separates teams level on points.

Two points for a win; a no result earns one point each.

About points tables

Points tables show the standings in league-format competitions such as the WPL and the group stages of ICC tournaments, with matches played, wins, losses and no results.

Points

In most women’s T20 and ODI competitions a win earns two points and a no result one point each.

Net run rate

When teams finish level, net run rate separates them: the average runs a team scores per over minus the average it concedes. A team bowled out early is treated as having faced its full quota of overs.

Qualification

In the WPL the top team reaches the final directly and the next two play the Eliminator; in World Cups the leading teams in each group advance to the knockouts.
